Anniversary today!

Today is our youngest daughter’s wedding anniversary.  They’ve been married 11 years, and in that short time the “in sickness and health” clause has been put to the test by lupus.   Our son-in-law has been great through all the hospitalizations, and he’s a keeper!

Happy anniversary, Robyn and Pat!  May you celebrate many more years.

He’s had a lot to deal with then, but so has she!
Lupus can be a hard one to deal with.
Happy Anny, and to many many more!!!

We had a lovely candlelit sushi dinner this evening. Pat’s mother was kind enough to watch our DS so that we could have leisurely private time together. Excellent service and wonderful food; we could not have asked for better.

Patrick is indeed a keeper. He has really kept me going all these years.

Thank you for the well wishes.

Happy anniversary! And if it helps any, my lupus was diagnosed when my youngest was two. He’s 21 going on 22 now, and thank heavens for a supportive husband through everything. Best wishes, and Merry Christmas, too!

DS wasn’t yet born when I was diagnosed. It’s hard, sometimes, to find silver linings in the clouds related to this, but I can see three very clearly. First, I am fortunate enough to have disability and, thus, the ability to stay at home with my son. Second, a diagnosis like this makes me appreciate so much that I probably wouldn’t even notice if I were living the life of a “normal”. Third, while the disease started out pretty viciously, it hasn’t progressed much at all in the last year or so.

I am very grateful for all these things, and for an extended family that is just as patient and understanding as my husband is.
